Fall in NE Alabama 2007

This is Lookout Mountain in Fall Color (we live up top!)

The view from the front and rear of our house

This is the view from our office balcony - the color is just past peak here

This is our favorite trail in DeSoto State Park

The fall brings a blanket of leaves to the trail

At the top there are several rock paths like this one

Little River Canyon and Little River Falls

Left: Dennis, Mom and Dad at Little River Canyon

This is Little River Falls - the water levels are low right now due both to drought and dry season - our rainy season is Winter/Spring here

What a difference a month makes - check out the New Year's Day picture below after some good rainfall
Below is Grace's High Falls - 100' drop to the floor of Little River Canyon is one of the highest in Alabama

Below:  Cherokee Rock Park near where we live.  That's Weiss Lake in the distance

The rock formations are amazing - that's my Mom and Dad along with Dennis on the left

The fall colors are evident below - again with Weiss Lake in the distance

It was a surprise to find these rock formations here - what a treat

The picture at right is a neighborhood we're considering...
